Veterans Day
㻘 Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11. It's a holiday honoring men and women who have served in the US Armed Forces, on the
anniversary of the end of World War I.
While those who have died are also remembered, Veterans Day is the day set aside to think and honor all those who served honorably in the military
- in war time or peacetime.
Veterans Day is a time for us to pay our respects to those who have served. For one day, we stand united and respect for you, our veterans.
This holiday started as a day to reßect upon the heroism of those who died in our countryÕs service and was originally called Armistice Day. It fell on November 11
because that is the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. However, in 1954, the holiday was changed to ÒVeterans DayÓ in order to
account for all veterans in all wars.
